CV-Biographies and Resumes

Answering Questions at an Interview

Salary Negotiation

Dear Geoffrey

I would like to thank you for the service you provided. Your complete cv-biography and resume combined with your interview training secured me a position far exceeding the last job. I am now in sales management with a division entirely under my responsibility in a $7 million per year company. My salary is more than double my former one, with a further compensation package that will take me even further.

The Interview Simulation (Answering Questions at the Interview) provided me with positive responses to stressful questions. This left a lasting impression with the interviewing Vice President who in turn passed on this information to others in the firm convincing them of my skills. He sold me to them. One of the major shareholders was very impressed with the resume and felt it was a good indication of organization skills and marketing technique.

As to salary negotiation, I gave him my "budget." Three days later we got back together and I was given what I asked for.

Without the resume and the training I might not have secured this position. The thoroughness of the cv-biography a base for directing all his questions. I in turn, was able to see each question as an opportunity to sell.

As a professional in the sales field, I successfully sold millions of dollars of my services and my companies’ products, but I was inept in selling myself. A salesman is his own worst customer. There is also a tendency to be defensive when you are questioned. I recommend the training to sales professionals. In a positive sense it de-personalizes you into a commodity or  service that you can sell.

Our follow up sessions were equally important. Without it you’re going into the interview with an empty gun. Analyzing in detail what I did at each interview sharpened my presentation for the next interview.

My success rate in resumes sent (one as a walk-in, one was a lead, one in responding to an ad). I secured 2 interviews and 1 job offer. The total time from the day I walked out with the resumes to securing the great offer was 12 weeks, including 2 with the flu!

Once again, many thanks, and now you can retire my resume into the demonstrators!

Paul G.
